Applied Chemistry
Applied Chemistry
Applied Chemistry is the scientific field for understanding basic chemical properties of materials and for producing new materials with well-controlled functions. Applied Chemistry covers a variety of chemical fields, working on various materials including metal compounds, inorganic and organic compounds, polymers, proteins etc, doing basic researches and their applications.
Applied chemistry is increasingly important in solving environmental problems and contributing to the development of new materials, both of which are key issues in the 21st century. This major has four areas of study: physical chemistry, materials chemistry, chemical engineering, and environmental chemistry.
